Magnolia Warbler: Medium-sized warbler with dark back, yellow rump, and black-streaked yellow underparts. The head has a blue-gray crown, yellow throat. Wings are dark with two white bars. Tail is dark with white patches and undertail coverts. Bill, legs and feet are black.

MacGillivray's Warbler: Medium-sized warbler with olive-green upperparts and yellow underparts. White eye-ring is broken and slate gray hood extends to upper breast where it darkens to black. It forages for insects on or close to the ground. As it hops, it often flicks its tail from side to side.

It's named for the way its dark breast and hood resemble a person in mourning. It is one of the latest spring migrants of all North American warblers.

Maui Alauahio: This small songbird has a mostly yellow head and underparts and an olive crown and upperparts. It has olive-gray edging to the feathers in the wing and tail. Medium length, sharp, fine gray-black bill, with buff lower mandible; medium length wings and notched tail. Female is similar in pattern, but all colors are muted. Feeds on a variety of arthropods. Direct, undulating flight.

Maui Parrotbill: This small to medium-sized songbird has a heavy curved upper mandible, white-pink lower mandible, yellow underparts and eyebrow, olive upperparts, medium-length wings and a short notched tail. Female is duller with a much smaller bill. Feeds mainly on the larvae and pupae of moths and on wood and fruit boring beetles. Direct, undulating flight with rapid wing beats.
