Puaiohi: This small thrush has brown-gray upperparts, a white eye ring, black malar stripe, and gray underparts with white on the throat, belly, and vent. It is of medium length, has a black bill, pink legs and feet, and a rather short, rounded tail. It feeds on fruit and invertebrates such as insects and snails. It has a direct flight. The sexes are similar.
