Washington Park - Smith Lake (E. of the Boathouse)

Common; year-around resident. Domesticated in Europe and Asia and introduced to NA and now wildly successful. There appears to be some uncertainty about nomenclature (dove or pigeon) and as near as I can tell if he's in a cage (domesticated) he's a Rock Dove but if he flies the coop (now feral) he's a Rock Pigeon. Go figure. This one is a very pretty and somewhat unusual white variant.
