Washington Park - Lily Pond (S. end)
Common; spring into mid-summer visitor. If they ever do a remake of Hitchcock's "The Birds" I nominate this guy as the star bird -- mean, aggressive (they beat up on Crows 6x their size) and are ever vigilent while young are still in the nest. If you walk by the cattails in the Lily Pond you might get dive-bombed. They don't make contact but they let you know they're there.
