Washington Park - Smith Lake (behind boathouse)
Common; winter visitor. This and the Goldeneye are the only diving ducks we commonly see in the park. Harder to find than other ducks because they like to stay as far out on the ice as possible, but on snowy overcast days they will come closer to shore. This is a male and the females are also easy to ID because they look like Lucille Ball on a bad hair day.
