An ocean bird and rarer than rare inland. Probably the first and last time we'll see her in the park. After stalking her for a week (not knowing exactly what I was stalking) with no success, this pic was taken through the scope of a friendly birder. But if you see her all you need for an ID is that big black patch on the cheek and the almost "painted" look of the face.
