Hermit Thrush

A lovely capture, especially with that complimentary background.
The EXIF indicates a 500mm lens, is it a Canon or Sigma or?
As shown, this appears a tad soft, and I wonder if some sharpening has been applied.
I just noticed this comment, but thanks, and yes a 50-500 Sigma lens, no editing was done to this picture. It is a little soft, but when a printed a 4x6 it appeared much sharper because this gallery seems to make my pictures appear softer than what they are. Thankfully, the subject was standing in a sunny spot, and not in the dappled shade which makes a lovely background.
I might suggest (but you can ignore it....LOL) that editing be a regular part of the process. Most images could gain with even modest editing including sharpening.
You've got some lovely bird photos!
Thank you! As for editing, I do a little editing with gimp sometimes, but usually I take loads pictures in spring/summer months then sort and edit them in the fall/winter months when I am not as pressed for time. That is probably a bad habit though. :)
