Is this a mallard x (black duck and mallard) or immature male mallard.

Shot in fall, about 5 green feathers on its head, greenish bill, no ring around neck, and no brown feathers under the wings?

help

Welcome to Whatbird. I'm afraid I'm not seeing the photo -- hopefully others will have more luck. This time of year, it's also possible that it's just a male Mallard molting out of eclipse plumage.

This is a male Mallard molting from eclipse back into breeding plumage.
