Good evening,

I have been seeing a bird I can't identify at my back yard feeder.  The birds look to be perching type, w/ a sable brown hood and dark, dark purple (almost black) body.  There are 2 pairs, the females (?) are less colorful, but, none the less beautiful.  I wish I had a photo --working on that.  Any help in solving this mystery would be greatly appreciated.

I live in Baltimore, MD if that helps, but I 've never seen these birds in this area before...

Best regards,

Karen

Thanks very much!  I was hoping for something a little more exotic, but now I know.  Thanks very much.
