macreuse:
I am really interested in Ibird but nowhere I can find this information. Does Ibird works only on the Iphone??? If yes, does it work with any Iphone? Thank you for helping me.
iBird works on the iPhone or iPod touch. It currently requires OS 3.0 as well.

iBird works with any model of iPhone, as well as the iPod Touch.
Apparently it does not! I downloaded the latest i bird to install on an iPod touch, says I need newer software...checked the only OS available is installed 4.2.1

We did this for a couple of reasons. The first is performance. By dropping support for iOS 3 we don't have to support the iPhone 3G, or the 2nd generation iPod touch. Those devices have much weaker graphics hardware, less memory, and slower processors.
The second reason is features. iOS 5 was a big leap forward in terms of OS features. The parent/child container view feature, ARC, storyboards, etc.

I am unable to update OS when I received this iPod it did have i Bird loaded, but when I removed the previous owners information and Apps, I was unable to reinstall ibird even though I paid for it....nowhere does it say it is NOT compatible with the older generation iPod touch Not blaming you, however, perhaps it would be wise in future to update notes indicating iBird does not work with older iPods, or at least keep the older version available. OS is 4.2.1 and cannot be upgraded
Rufous the product page for all versions of iBird under Details - Information:
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. Requires iOS 4.3 or later.
I'm not sure what more we can say but I am open to suggestions.

I paid for upgrade & now I can't use it on my old iPod Touch!
Suggestion? Make the older version available so I can go back to what was a great App on my touch? "iBird Old School"?

I have mentioned this before but it seems to never stick. We can't keep old versions in the store because the "store" belongs to Apple. We can only sell or provide our iOS apps in the Apple store, no where else. Period end of story. Apple goes to great lengths to make sure of this. Wish it was otherwise, but it's there store.
