My mother (in Massachusetts) told me that a grey hummingbird visits her flowers every morning.  What could this be?  Would an immature Ruby-Throated hummingbird look grey?

I suppose it could depending on light. R-t is the only likely hummer in Mass.

Juveniles and females can look quite gray depending on the angle and lighting.
