Nice shots! I don't think they get much more colorful than this...... male Painted Bunting
Edit to add:
I guess Harpo beat me out with the Painted Bunting! Thanks for the info on the Limestone Creek Natural Area, Harpo,(I think that was you). We were up there the other day, but didn't see any PB's. It is a nice, new natural area, though....

Motmot - the colors are amazing.
All I have is a yelllow headed blackbird repost. These are usually hard to find but I think we saw about 100 of them last year.

There were 2 Painted Buntings reported and photographed in southern Ontario last month. I'd love to see one.
Here's a more reliable local eye-catcher. The Wood Duck. Toronto.

Beautiful pictures. Cardinals have been one of my key favorite birds since the 4th Grade, of course that was right after Noah let it off the Ark.
Unfortunately, I did not have a camera with me yesterday during the CBC. But, if I had, it would have to be the male Bluebird that was observed. It had such an intense blue and orange that the blue almost appeared black. It would be a "covergirl" in the a society's magazine.

Great shot of a Purple Gallinule, rdatkins!
Here's a Golden-Hooded Tanager. Probably the most colorful bird I saw in Costa Rica...

Thanks Lyceel! Got lucky, he perched about 15 feet away & stayed put for about 30 seconds.

Awesome shot of the Tree Swallow! I see them all the time, but they never will sit still for me.

Spot-breasted Oriole in Deerfield Beach, FL. Not the greatest picture, but such a striking bird.
