I love those! I had flocks a couple of times last winter in the trees in my neighbors' yard right after snowstorms, but they never came down - maybe because of overly-aggressive shrub pruning?. This year I made sure that I didn't cut back anything with berries & I'm hoping they will come down.

Love CW's!  I saw my first (of the season) on Tuesday at their regular fall/winter hangout, which included a recent fledgling - must be his/her first migration as they don't breed down here.

we have them all year long, but see them much more in winter.. at least close.. I see and hear them flying around all summer but seldom get them close enough for pics unless I get em at berry bushes.. was just thinking of starting a thread on the photo sharing forum with waxwings.. they really are beautiful birds despite the mess they make

They love berries!  They've been raiding backyards with American Robins these past few days.  I've got more pictures in this gallery: http://www.pbase.com...r/cedar_waxwing
