When I go to my control panel in all photos I see a referral tab. When I click on it some of my photos have links there that go to different areas of the site. What relevance does the referral tab have?

It shows if someone did a search which brought them to your photo.  Also, there have been times I wanted a bird in my gallery here, but wanted to use it elsewhere instead of uploading it to another site.  Those show up in the referrer list, too.
