What is your favorite bird call? Mine is the American Robin. I just love to wake up to this beautiful call in the morning.

One of my favorites is the Northern bob-white.  It's distictive and clear and I haven't heard it in such a long time.

Johnnybirder......Bird calls are hard for my dad and I to remember, but we remember the yard bird calls such as : Carolina Wren, Downy Woodpecker, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Chickadees, and Tufted Titmouse. But my favorite call is The American Bittern. My dad and I always try to mimic it while birder at Edwin B. Forsythe and Cape May but never actually heard one call in person. Crying

I love the song/call of the Yellow-breasted Chat simply because it's so crazy!  Not the prettiest one in the world but definitely unique

"Sit still ya little ba.."  OH!  You mean the calls they make, not what I call them? Embarrassed

I like the chirping sound the White-tailed Kite makes just before mating.  This sweet little diminutive "chirp...chirp...chirp..."

Haha. If somebody who didn't know better heard me while I'm birding they'd say "aren't you supposed to LIKE these things???"

I have many favorites. Certain ones remind me of being out in those habitats. The Northern Flicker's wikwikwiwikwikwi reminds me of the forest, The Red-shouldered Hawk's call reminds me of a city park, Red-tailed Hawk's scream reminds me of the open foothills, and the call of the Common Loon reminds me of my favorite fishing lake in the early morning.

Someone just reminded me of a call from when I was a kid... The Canyon Wren.  The descending trill.  That was _awesome_!

 And Whatbird doesn't have it?!!?
