Song Sparrow? Savannah?

I can tell I'm getting better at this IDing. Last year I would post a pic and just ask what the heck it was, now I'm at least attemping to ID them. I'm still pretty much still working on getting just the species right: (Yeah thats a hawk, check out the duck, I like that gull, etc etc) LOL

So Ms Sparrow here (or Mr) I'm thinking is a song sparrow but the coloring seems more muted. We are pretty far east for a Savannah but they do live year-round along the coast and we're just south of Olympia WA..

I agree with Purple Finch. The face is patterned like one.

Keep trying!! It becomes easier with practice. That said, I still make some goofy mistakes....Embarrassed
