I heard a bird calling somewhere around my house and wanted to try to identify it by it's sound. But when I looked up the bird I thought it was and tried to play it's sound bite, I found that feature gone now in all bird files.

What happened?

It seems that the entire web site has been updated and changed, but why was the bird sound playback feature removed?

Please put them back. There have been a few times when I have positively identified birds by matching their song against the playback files that used to be on the site.

To my knowledge this feature was not scheduled to be deleted, but I will report and I will check out the issue.

Thanks for the report.

Any update? I was trying to search by song this morning which is something I have done before and it appears that all song recordings have disappeared.

Yes an Update. There were some updates of Artwork in the databases recently, and we think the updates may have interfered with the Audio files. The Sound omissions have been reported but I do not have a secondary report with a resolution schedule.

If I get anything, I will post it but chances are that it will be fixed before I get the report.

Thanks again for this information.
