There are some good FAQ threads for you to read. It's different, but it works.

Not sure how to delete posts, but I was wondering if your trouble is that you have too many attachments already uploaded and adding a new one would put you over your space limit. Try:
1. Click"My Profile"
2. Click "Edit My Profile"
3. Click "Manage Attachments" (tab near the bottom of the menu on the left)
4. Select a few of your previous uploads
5. Click "Delete Selected Attachments"
6. Try upload again

I don't if that will do it or not, but worth a try, if you haven't already.

LOL, I've been a professional semiconductor layout designer for 44 years, and I'm intimidated by this site. I haven't taken the time to train myself to upload my avatar, never mind trying to post and upload an image. Sigh, guess I'm just an old Dinosaur....

But I still love to read what other people post!

Same here, Julie. I really don't know what's "new and improved" about the site now. I don't use flickr or any of those photo things, have too many attachments to post another pic, and don't want to delete them as I bookmark them and often go back to check on an ID. I don't like the new gallery set-up either! An occasional Oops was better than what we have now! Wow, I'm in a bad mood this morning.

Red Fish--

I would really love to see this picture. Can you post it on another site and then post that site's url here?

I don't understand what the big deal is. Host your pictures on a photo sharing website like Photobucket or Flickr, and then paste the image directly into the post. Many sites don't even allow you to upload pictures--it eats up a ton of bandwith and space.

Edited to add: I highly doubt you're allowed to delete your post. Most forums aren't setup to allow members to delete posts.

I don't think you can delete your posts, but you can edit and make the text "strikethrough."

Just use Tinypic or ImageShack - you can still upload from your desktop. It will give you a link (use the "direct"link for layouts) and paste in using the picture icon. It's nearly just as easy as before, except you're using another site's storage space (rather than whatbird's storage space)
