I generally watch the migration from http://www.hummingbirds.net/map.html this year they are being reported very early even into Canada now.. however I check ebird and it doenst show any north of VA yet this year.. should I put my feeeders out? just wondereing, you would think birders would report to ebird,and if they were really as early as shown, then I should see a few reports on ebird.. maybe the other place is more apt to get reports of common birds.. or they only report hummers to that site and are not members of ebird.. Just find it odd

I put my feeder up today after I have seen first hummingbird this year in my backyard (Myrtle Beach, SC ). I love to take pictures of hummingbirds.

My first black-chin arrived the first day of spring. I am about 1 hour north of Austin Texas. About 10 days ago (mid April 2012) they were chased away by constant male rubies. They lasted about a week, now my black-chin males are back as well as females of maybe both. When I looked it up, the black-chins were right on target date wise.
