The first bird is indeed a female Brown-headed Cowbird, but the second is actually an American Goldfinch - check out the yellow head.

Thanks, it was so hard to see the second one because of the position of the sun. First female gold finch this year for me.

That's a really nice photo of the female Brown-headed Cowbird. I've been fighting with getting them to visit when it's not pouring rain...

That's a really nice photo of the female Brown-headed Cowbird. I've been fighting with getting them to visit when it's not pouring rain...

You can have mine I have too many. :)
I had around 20 today, and they're always eating.
