They're practicing/strengthening for flying. Pretty soon they'll be venturing out onto the bars of that structure that the nest is built on.

One was doing that, actually. He'd hang out on the bars some, and practice flying back and forth from one end of the nest to the other. The other wasn't there at first, he came back with mom halfway through our watching them. It was really cute looking, at one point it almost looked like the one that can fly was trying to teach the other one how. "See, you do it like this!" :)

It was a neat day.
