Is this a European Starling?

Could someone confirm if this is a European Starling? Photographed April 11th in Montreal, alone, pecking for food.

Based on the experience of seeing thousands of them, YES. Mac

The "alone" part thows me off. I've never seen just "one" starling. Still confirmed.

Thank you. It was the alone part that threw me off too, after looking this up, but it was definitely alone in that area, unless its fellows were a ways off in the trees or bushes. http://www.allaboutb...ean_Starling/id

I see them alone often enough, usually in groups of 5-10, but sometimes just 2-3 or even 1.
