Here is the list I told you I would make of Eastern passerines possible here this spring you won't be able to get in Cali. Hope you can get a bunch of these before you have to move.

I may have some on here you already have seen. I might also misspell a few, doing it off the top of my head.

LOL! I wish Eurasian Collared-Dove wasn't overpopulating here! Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Baltimore Oriole, Clay-colored Sparrow, Ovenbird, Least Flycatcher, American Redstart, and some of the other listed Warblers are not super rare as migrants through here. Yellow-billed Cuckoo is pretty scarce, but a few are reported each Summer. Bell's Vireo and Purple Martin are Spring/Summer Residents. But yeah, get the Eastern birds while you can.

Okay thanks for the info Creeker. I haven't seen any Eurasian-collared Doves here. . . hope not to. Does anybody no if it is legal to kill them like starling and HP? If they are anywhere near as invasive as them then I think you should be able to.

In California, you can only shoot them during the regular dove hunting season, but then there is no limit on them.

Creeker- I figured there were some on there that could be had in Cali. I was using the range maps in the Eastern Sibley. We all know how accurate range maps are.

JimBob- Here in Illinois E. Col. Doves are pretty common, in the fall I have seen close to 2 dozen together. To hunt them it has to be dove season also. They really are not bad as far as invasives go though. They do not seem to compete with the Mourning Doves. They kind of fill a nitch between Rock Pigeon and Mo Dove. Sort of like a suburban pigeon.

Here I definitely see them displacing the Mourning Doves. They like to hang in suburbia, safe from any hunters.
