I'm not at the level yet that much of this applies to me, but I can see it all in my future.

We do a Wednesday a.m. "bird walk" with an Audubon group. The best part in the video, which really hits home, is where they are describing to each other where to look. "See that tree . . .?" Only half of our group last week was able to spot a (non-bird) Red Fox with a scope right on it. We are sometimes pathetic, but we have a great time.

I thought I was just a total idiot when it came to directing others. Nice to see it's a common issue lol. I'm sort of like this too just a lot more vulgar.

Pat, thanks for sharing this. I, too, received it from a fellow Audubon member. I can really relate to the "no, it's just a stump" statement. It's so easy to see something on the side of the road from far away & think it's a bird, animal, etc. Once a 'stump' turned out to be a beautiful ruffed grouse who even posed for a few pictures!

This was posted already, that's why this thread hasn't gotten many responses http://www.whatbird....sound-familiar/
It's hysterical! I love it - it's so true!

Hilarious! "Fairly extinct"! I don't think I'm that bad. Really.
