This is a crazy story from the LA Times about a landscaping caretaker that was drowned by one of his own swans.

When I was a kid, a domestic Greylag Goose attacked my little brother and he almost needed stitches. Mamma birds can be ferocious!

I was told about this earlier... His poor family. One of very few cases of a bird killing a human (not counting bird-transmitted diseases) that I've ever heard about.

I must say, I did chuckle when I saw the caption for the photo, though: "Swans, such as the white one shown..." I mean really, how incredibly descriptive. ;)
