I was visited this morning at my west Houston home by a small thrush that I suspect may be a Swainson's. Other suspects include a Grey Cheeked (should have grey lores rather than the brown I see), Hermit (lacks the tan tail and wing feathers), or Wood (just too dull and grey for this). Can anyone confirm and/or give a better ID please? Thanks much in advance!

Houston, we have a problem... can't say what it is, but don't think it's a Hermit Thrush if that helps.

I'd lean Swainson's on this one. Looks to have a buffy eye-ring and the tail and back are a similar color.

Many thanks to all for your thoughts and replies. I was leaning to Swainson's as well, think I'll go with that. Not a lifer for me, but a first for my garden list.
Cheers!

Agree with Swainson's; nice spectacles here.
