I shot this during an open house at the Ojai Raptor Center in Ojai, CA on March 24. His name is Hitch and he is an education bird who is a permanent resident of the Center. He was injured and cannot fly.

The only bird I count on my life list that was sighted before I started birding. After many stops in Kodiak and Dutch Harbor, Alaska years ago, there is no doubt as to what I saw. Have some here on Cape Cod, just waiting for the chance to get to the right areas.
Life list: 135
Photo list: 135
2013 bird count: 91
Last 10 lifers: Redhead, Eurasian Wigeon, Peregrine Falcon,Tufted Duck, King Eider, Great Cormorant, Gadwall, American Wigeon, Northern Lapwing, Common Raven

Nice close-up shot, eaglemania!
You mentioned the Ojai Center..... In the near future, they will be receiving a "gift" of an Albino Turkey Vulture, from "Wings of Wonder" raptor rehab center here in northern Michigan. The vulture was found debilitated and wandering around a village here in the middle of winter. Although she was rescued and rehabbed, she is unable to return to the wild due to sight problems and possible immune system deficiencies of an albino.

There is also a nice YouTube video you can access from there.
