And now, as soon as I posted this, I can access my Profile!

Try it now, remember that the filters affect all members until the spam filters are satisfied.

I am having this problem, too. I am hoping that by posting I can get the filters removed, so sorry for the redundancy.

I am also having this problem. How many sucessful posts to I have to make before I satisfy the filters? I have been a member for over a year and had my profile pic and information deleted. I had made a number of posts on this forum.

Hi All,
Just registered this morning, I love this site, but I'm having the same problem that all the other new users are having about being able to view/edit your own profile. Hopefully by just posting this, that the filters will let me through.

There are filters to catch the spammers, which we have about 20 per day. You should be able to post normally now and to edit your profile.

I just want to update my original posting on this issue. Within a day or so I was again able to edit my Profile, etc.
It is very sad that the forum moderators have to put up with spammers. On a site I had some years ago the 'leave comments' section became rife with spam and malware, so I dropped it.
This WhatBird forum is one of the best I know of. So many others get very nasty. I'm 'just' a photographer but/and am learning about birds and this forum has been very helpful. I don't have the keen sense that a birder has when viewing birds but I do watch, observe, listen and enjoy our winged creatures. In 'exchange' for all the help I get I want to share both my photos and any tips I can offer.

Thanks Canon, the spammers make a forum unbearable if they are not get controlled. We have filters that bother the new members and I'm sorry about that but they would complain more about the spammers.
