Maybe the mud the House Finch appears to be bathing in?

We had a big and long overdue rain yesterday and into this morning. In the short while I was watching, there was a Northern Cardinal, male and female House Finch, Song Sparrow, two Chipping Sparrow and the Indigo Bunting. The House Finch was bathing and I think the others were drinking.

Thanks to everyone for the confirmation.
