Hawk ID needed - tough pics

Hello,

I took a few shots of a hawk last week that I have not been able to positively ID. I am in S. NH.

I ID'd it to the best of my knowledge in the field, but don't want to sway one way or the other.

Looks like a Broad-winged Hawk to me.


I'm pretty sure I agree with this. It's def a buteo, and belly pattern and the band on the tail should rule out RT and RS.

Awesome, thanks to the both of you.

I ID'd it as a Broad Winged - good to know my instincts are kicking it. Its flight seemed a bit slower, less flapping than that of a Red-Tailed, and also seemed to 'glide' more on it's way out.
