Leucistic Northern Cardinal?

Seems to me the very bright sunlight on this bird is making it look lighter than it really is. Otherwise looks good for female Northern Cardinal, with the orange bill and reddish color in head, wings and tail

It looked really splotchy in the other pic, where it was in the shade.

Agreed. This pic doesn't look normal to me either. Still going with Leucistic.

Yeah, it's hard to say. I mean, I doubt the ground is white, but it appears to be in this photo. On the other hand, I do agree the bird looks a bit abnormal in the other pic.

I see many female northern cardnials on a daily basis (i know im lucky
) and when I first clicked on this picture it did not come across to me as that, BUT I am NOT fimiliar with what Leucistic looks like! Still pretty new to birding!

I've looked at both your pictures, and I'm confident saying that your Cardinal is both female and leucistic.

I commented on this pic before seeing the other one. The sun seems to be washing out the view on this one because the leucism is clearly visible on the other picture
