Welcome to Whatbird!!! It is definitely a Cormorant. I would say a juvenile Double-Crested, but wait for another ID.

yeah That is a Juv. Spring molt Double Crested Cormorant. I think in the back of the Cormorant is a Black Crowned Night Heron also nice bird to see!

I really had a tough time with this one..

The bird in the back is a Black Crowned Night Heron..

Nice Catch Shoveler..

I did manage to get a few photo's of the Heron as well..

Delilahae - check out the FAQ Thread for information on how to post photos without having to use the attachment feature and delete your photos. Using those instructions, you are able to post photos like this without a limit:

Yes, that is the main cost associated with any internet site. If we all had unlimited upload limits, I imagine WhatBird would not be able to continue financially. It also doesn't make sense for them since there are alternatives that work better anyways.

It must be nice to have young eyes. I missed it also.

I always thought that cormorants were sea birds and when I saw one inland, I was very surprized. Turns out the Double-crested is nationwide.
