What kind of hawk is this? Seen in Vermont today. Sorry for the quality-- it was far away. Posted Image

With that tail band, I'd say it's a Broad-winged Hawk!

Thank you! A lifer for me. It looks like it is carrying some string--would that mean it may be building a nest?
