I'm sure this worked correctly before, but today this happens consistently.
To reproduce:
1) Go to search, and reset. The app indicates 924 birds.
2) Location: California. Search. 444 birds matched.
3) Shape: Duck Like. Search. 49 birds matched.
4) Shape: Clear all. Search. 49 birds matched!!!
When a constraint is cleared, the number should go back to the previous value. This is clearly a bug.
By the way, it gets worse.
5) Shape: Perching-like. 0 Birds matched.
No perching birds in California! The search display always looks correct, showing the selections I have made. But constraints are being applied after I remove them. "Reset" works to start over, but that's not practical when just one of many items needs to be changed.
Is this a bug in the current version? Something only happening to me? Any fix or workaround?
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
It would help me to know what device you are using and what verson of iBird you have. You can find that on the about page.
Once I have this information I can try to help you.

I have precisely the same problem.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus (model GT-P6210), running Android 3.2.
My version of iBird Pro is 2.0.9
As noted above, with this bug the search feature is useless. Otherwise I am very happy with the content.
Thanks for your help,
Cooper

This bug has been fixed in version 2.2.1 which is available for both the Google and Kindle Fire versions of iBird Pro. We are still working on Yard and Lite.
Selecting Perching birds will show 172 species found.
BTW This new version has 926 species, we added two new birds.
