Short-billed Dowitchers and Marsh Wren.
Total birds seen: 370

How can one tell it's a marsh wren? (other than it's in the marsh!)

I think long billed has a hump like thing on its back.

I think long billed has a hump like thing on its back.
That hump shape is only visible when they are bent over feeding. I'm not sure it's enough to call an ID on either.

The Marsh Wren would be a lifer for me- so I'd like to be sure. Is it a marsh wren? How can you tell? I have more pics on the dowitchers would a feeding dowitcher help?

I would want to see more streaking on the back before I called the wren a Marsh.

I'll pass on the Dowitchers... but that is a definate Marsh Wren.
