Had a great visit to Konza prairie near Manhattan Kansas last week. Unbelievably windy day, so it was difficult to hear and see much, but I saw a lot of birds I don't usually see. It was a big week for sparrows and other open area birds.
Field, lark, and harris' sparrows. Meadowlark (I have to sort out which it was). Cliff swallows on the bridge over the KS river on the way. A pair of wood ducks, and a Eurasian collared dove (they haven't quite made it to Downingtown PA, so it is a rarity for me). Blue gray gnatcatchers, and a mystery empanid. I can post photos if anyone is interested (the two mystery birds will be posted in the ID forum).
I highly recommend this park if you are in the area.
