We had a pair of BB's nest in one of our boxes. There are four healthy looking eggs but no signs of the parents, beyond maybe spotting them in the yard. They were around the box regularly before and during egg laying. Have they abandoned the nest? Eggs have been there for approx two weeks. If abandoned, I will clean and hope for another occupant, thanks.

If the eggs have been there two weeks and they are cold then I would say yes. I would give it a few more days, how often are you able to sit and watch the boxes? Sometimes you could just be missing them when you do your checks. But if the four eggs have been there for two weeks and are cold, they are no long viable. Just proceed with caution, make sure before you do anything.

Hoping that I'm missing them but doubt it unfortunately. The box is in clear view and I've been lucky enough to have spent a lot of time in the yard lately. Will give it bit longer just to be sure though. Thanks for the input.
