Hello, Im just wondering why I seem to be locked out from everything? I get error messages when trying to access chat or veiw any profiles, including my own. My posts need to be approved my a mod so I would really appreciate the help mods.

There are Spam filters in place, but you should be OK now.

Same here. Just signed up today.

The Filters catch Hit and Run Spammers. Also they catch the new members. Just post normally to the forums about Birds and Birding and soon the filters will be removed.

I really wish that the members would read my answers in this topic, there are filters that catch the Hit and Run Spammers. These are necessary and have been installed since the new Whatbird forums. Unfortunately they catch the existing members that have not posted since the filters have been put in place. Just post normally and the filters will be removed.

I'm sorry to have irritated you... I'm sure you've gotten a lot of complaints and you are probably tired of giving this same reply. Yes, I'm guilty of not looking more deeply into the threads, as I posted before discovering the answer. I understand about the spam filters, as I know how it is a huge problem and I understand the forum's take on preventing it. So being that those preventative measures are taken, I couldn't retract my post before finding out. I'm guessing the same thing has happened to at least a handful of folks, so all I can ask is for more patience with us... Anyways, I apologize for any aggravation I've caused and I thank you for posting a sticky note about it - to save further embarrassment for the admin and forum members in the future.
