At the bottom of the posting, there is a place to add attachments, sometimes you need to tap "More Reply Options" to see the Attachment option.

Your photos should be no larger than 200 kb, that is plenty for resolution in the forums, and posting space is limited.

Since yesterday I have not been able to quote a post by someone else. When I click quote at the bottom of their post, it goes to a reply instead of quoting??!!??

Are you using internet explorer? There seems to be trouble with that browser lately.

Then you have likely just upgraded to Internet Explorer 11, which has known issues with things like that.  It was discussed a while back and it is not just here, but other forums reporting similar issues.

I haven't upgraded to IE 11, though it keeps prompting me to. I didn't upgrade because of the problems that have been reported here.

I don't have any problems with posting photos, or anything else that I have come across.... just the quote issue!!

I'm not sure why anyone still uses IE by choice--there are much better browsers out there without any of the issues that IE has.  I'd recommend switching to Firefox.

MS updated me to IE 11 via automatic updates; w/o consulting me at all! An MS tech person resolved some of the problems it created here, but not all. One can only hope they're getting tons of negative feedback about this.

I agree. I really don't like IE. (I prefer chrome over firefox though)

MS sets itself to do upgrades automatically by default. You can change those settings to ask you before upgrading or not do it at all.

Hello,  I have been unable to post for the past month or so.  When I first joined, I was able to post, but then it stopped working.  What happens is that I copy html or links from Flickr and when I go to copy them into whatbird  they are no longer there (copying is not an option, in other words).

I tried switching browsers from Explorer to Firefox to see if that would help, but it didn't.

Your description of your problem makes me wonder if you can copy/paste into other programs or websites.  Try copying text from whatbird and pasting into MS Word.  Maybe there is a problem with your clipboard.  Also might help if you describe in a little more detail exactly what steps you use to post with flickr.  I personally don't use it, but many others do on this site.

Yes I know, Helen. But this is the first time I'm aware of that they've forced a new IE version on me.

I changed my web browser to Firefox a couple of days ago. It caused me all sorts of problems with my home page and Email, and I still couldn't post photos here!!

I changed to Google Chrome last night, and finally was able to post a photo a few minutes ago in Bird Silhouettes.

I am a new member and I posted a picture probably half an hour ago. How long will it take for it to show up? I know it needs to get approved first, but it's kind of urgent.

It takes some time, depending on how far away I am from the computer... sorry for the delay.

I am having trouble pasting address links.  The only clue I can give is that I recently upgraded my Explorer from 8 to 11. There could be something that needs to be reset. But I can only guess at what.

I know there are issues with copy/paste in IE 11 and they are not only here but at other sites as well

Are you using the link button above or trying to post the links directly?  I have also seen that using the link button works better than posting them directly in the text field.
