I've learned this lesson the hard way, after spending the morning fishing last summer in the CT river and drifting not more than 30 feet right under an adult Bald Eagle...the camera ALWAYS comes with me!

So, yesterday morning while striper fishing on the CT river....




Of course, I wish I had time to get the camera setup on the monopod and settings dialed in, but I'll take this I suppose. I actually watched this guy grab a fish out of the water and fly the catch right back to it's mate on the nest. I think I'll have to anchor up next time and do a stakeout.

It was horrible. Need to focus on catching some shad to chunk up. For whatever reason the stripers in the river this year are just not cooperating with poppers and such.

Most of the time I go to big rivers/lakes the fishing is horrible. I prefer small lakes and ponds.
