I saw this bird briefly in Del Valle state park, Livermore, CA today, the photo is not clear, i think it is western wood pewee, can someone confirm?

Looks like a female Western Tanager. A flycatcher should have a bill that's broad from side to side but quite flat.

Interesting. I bird at Del Valle a lot and I have never been able to ID birds like this. They are just so vague looking. A little bit of this, a little bit of that.
