[attachment=97814:unknown 4.jpg][attachment=97812:unknown 3.JPG][attachment=97813:unknown oriole type bird.jpg]taken yesterday at wildlife refuge in southeast VA. 1/4 mile from river next to freshwater marshes in small wooded thicket. yellow, the back was yellow also as i remember, only the wing was black with white and the throat/bib was black. i've been trying all day to pinpoint it. seems to me to look most like a hooded oriole but they are only on the west coast, or are they?

Oh cool, I haven't been there yet, but we take the Jamestown/Scotland ferry a lot on our way home. I'll have to check that place out.

I hate it when that happens! It's one reason my husband isn't allowed to borrow my camera very much any more, lol!
