I thinking both Herring Gulls.
ABA list: 295 Latest: Swamp Sparrow

That one looks like a white-winged gull of some sort, not sure which are in range.

With the extensive black viewable from the underwing, I suspect the first bird is a Great Black-backed Gull. The white pattern on the outer primary tips looks consistent also. The second bird looks like a Herring Gull. The third bird obviously has some feather problem around the eye, but I can't see why it wouldn't be a Herring Gull, also.

None are in range in May. Plus you can see extensive black on the wingtips---this is a herring gull.

Agree with GBBG and Herring for the first two.

Yeah I agree with you guys now. I'm no gull expert and still trying to learn. I almost said GBBG for the first.

@Grandpa, thanks for all the detail. It helps me learn the field marks of the gulls, which I'm not good at.
