NH coast today - is this likely to be a Common or Red Throated Loon?

Don't think it's a Common Loon. I think you are right with Red Throated.

I didn't even know NH had a coast! I agree with Red-throated Loon, Common wouldn't have such a stark-white face.
Haha, it's not a very big coast (18 miles), but it's beautiful! Lots of good birds as you could imagine, and the beaches are pretty nice to boot.
