What kind of swallow

Took this last week in a wetlands area in northern VA. I thought it was a barn swallow but just realized their underparts are white and there is no white on this bird.Attached File  IMG_1584.JPG   443.44K   29 downloads

i just looked at barn swallows on Whatbird and they don't have white underparts. The photo of one i took, in a barn on a nest, last summer exactly matches the one in my guide book, both with white underparts and they look nothing like the bird depicted under "barn swallow" on Whatbird. now I'm totally confused.

Males often have that orangey color you see on the underparts. Definitely a Barn Swallow, male.
