Ok~I've mentioned a recent trip to Louisiana where I enocuntered a Great Crested (knowingly) for the first time. Upon my return home and to my computer I notice quite a few reports of these beautiful birds here on the forum. Certainly I must be a little more aware now but is there anything else going on with them such as increase in populations or is it the normal springtime activity?

Here in MD I usually see them in pretty good numbers in the spring and fall. Even this spring despite literally just about everything else being alarmingly scarce. They're a pretty underrated bird imo and definitely one of the better flycatchers.
