Black-necked Stilts Nesting

On a little lake just outside our back yard there have been several BN Stilts making lots of noise for the last few days. Today caught one on a nest. BTW can we post videos on this, have one of the Stilts angry at some nearby Killdeers.

Love this! I think that these are the Audrey Hepburn of birds...so elegantly turnout.

Must that this is not a bad backyard view at all either. Baby BN Stilts...lucky you!

I was in Hawaii a couple weeks ago and caught Black Neck Stilt Chicks.

They are so cute! I've seen any number of stilts but I don't think they nest here. They have got to be one of the cutest babies I've seen

Thanks. We just got a new camera and I am still learning how to zoom and not lose the birds. I was shooting these guys through a fence. I never knew taking pictures could be so exhausing.
