Taken in Central VA today. Attached File  IMG_3246.JPG   198.72K   92 downloadsAttached File  IMG_3247.JPG   144.07K   94 downloadsdidn't really get a good photo but ya'll have given me results with worse photos :) All i can say is it was in a tree in an overgrown meadow, and it was brown

It is eather a Eastern Wood Pewee or maybe a eastern phoebe. Maybe a Willow Flycatcher

Did you notice if it was flicking it's tail? That is usually a good indicator of a phoebe.

The wing-bars suggest Eastern Wood-Pewee.

Hate to disagree with Kryptos, but I see more of an Eastern Wood-pewee than Phoebe as well. :\ Wingbars seem too prominent for phoebe.
