I'm not sure if this picture shows to different species or just different stages of plumage. Seen this weekend along the Gulf Coast, in Galveston, TX. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks to me like two Sanderlings - one in breeding plumage (left) and one in non-breeding plumage. Not 100% sure, though.

Thanks so much. That was my suspicion, but sandpipers are difficult for me since I don't see them very often.
