Damselfly ID?

I know some people post pictures of snakes and butterflies for IDs, and I'm curious to see what they are. I found these two damselflies hanging out around my pond last weekend. Which one is the male and which is the female? Any help is appreciated!!

The colorful one is the male. The brownish one is the female.
